One Happy Camper First Year

One Happy Camper is a program that provides grants to every first-time camper attending a Jewish not-for-profit overnight camp. It was created by the Foundation for Jewish Camp to increase awareness of Jewish overnight camping and expand enrollments at Jewish summer camps across North America. This innovative program is currently in place in over 40 Jewish communities throughout the United States. Research shows that kids who attend Jewish summer camp have a greater connection to the Jewish community as adults.

The Farash Institute for Jewish Education in partnership with The Foundation for Jewish Camp will provide $1800 grants to campers attending Jewish overnight camp for the first time for more than 19 days. First-time campers attending Jewish overnight camp for 12-18 days will receive $1000 grants.
